Barlows Knoll

Barlows Knoll was a first day defensive position held by Brig. Gen. Francis Barlow’s First Division of the Eleventh Corps.  About 3 PM the position was flanked by men of Early’s Division starting the collapse of the entire Union line leading to the retreat to Cemetery Hill.
