Gettysburg National Cemetery

Established for the burial of Union soldiers killed at Gettysburg.  The Cemetery was dedicated on November 19, 1863.  President Abraham Lincoln was invited to give a few appropriate remarks.  In his short speech he was corrected that the world would never forget what they had done hear, but he was wrong about the world not remembering his what he said there.  His Gettysburg Address  is one of the most powerful address in our country’s history.  Lincoln wrote out five copies of his address and there are slight differences in each.
